Trap Light proposes a radical new approach to lighting design. By utilising photoluminescent pigments to capture escaping light, Trap Light recycles waste energy back into light. Photoluminescence is a process in which energy absorbed by a substance is gradually released as light. Using a traditional Murano glass hand-blowing technique, the mineral pigment is embedded into the glass body of the lamp, giving each Trap Light a unique pattern and glow. 30 minutes ‘charge’ of light from the provided LED bulb provides up to 5 hours* of ambient lighting.
* The light softly dims over time, ensuring a prolonged glow before gently fading away.
Making and delivery
The production of Trap Light relies on a handmade glass-blowing technique, guaranteeing that each piece is unique. Variations in the saturation of photoluminescent mineral on the glass should be viewed not as flaws, but as outcomes of this artisanal process Product Returns will be accepted for Trap Light within 14 days for shop credit or exchange only, with the period starting when the customer receives the order. Damage claims on shipped items must be made within 24 hours of package arrival. You are advised to inspect the purchase immediately upon receipt as no claims can be made after this time. All credited returns and exchanges must be in original, undamaged, unused condition. Return shipping, payment for return shipping and any subsequent damages from return shipping are the responsibility of the purchaser. All special orders and customised items are non-refundable.
